Elementary School Parent/Teacher Conferences
Registration remains open for our elementary spring school parent/teacher conferences, which will be held on March 23-24 (Thursday-Friday). The registration window will close on Monday at 11:59 pm. Video conferences are encouraged and are set as the default within the Meet the Teacher registration system; however, requests for in-person conferences will be accommodated.
Whether meeting via video or in-person, we ask that families be on time for their conference and stay mindful of the 20-minute time slot. The Meet the Teacher video conference will begin (and end) promptly at the designated times, with a visible clock to help participants manage your time. Student Registration for 2023-24 Academic Year
If you have not done so already, please complete registration for your child(ren) for the 2023-24 school year prior to Spring Break.
- For returning students, visit the PowerSchool parent portal and click on the registration link.
- For new students, including incoming kindergarteners, www.wilmette39.org/enroll provides instructions on the registration process. For incoming kindergarten students, more information on the KEEP39 program is available on our website.
Registration is Open For 2023 Summer Enrichment Program
Registration is open for our District 39 Summer Enrichment Program. This year’s program will take place from June 29-July 28. Parent Education Opportunities
Earlier this month, District 39 hosted the second part of its three-part series titled “Being An Ally: Supporting Inclusivity and Approaching Difficult Conversations at Home.” A recording of that event is available now.
The third part of this series will be an in-person, evening event on Wednesday, April 12 (7 pm) featuring Kelly Jackson, Highcrest Middle School Principal and District 39 Administrator for Social-Emotional Learning and Family Engagement, leading a book study and discussion. Earlier this month, the Family Action Network (FAN) welcomed Lisa Damour, Ph.D. for a presentation titled “The Emotional Lives of Teenagers.” A recording of this event is available through the end of March. More information on upcoming FAN events can be found on their website.
Board of Education Meeting – Monday, March 20
The Board of Education will hold its regular monthly business meeting on Monday, March 20 at 7 pm at the Mikaelian Education Center. In addition to committee reports, the Board will conduct first readings of several Board policies. Follow the link to access the complete meeting agenda and materials.
