Mobile Learning Background

In conjunction with recommendations from the Community Review Committee (CRC), the district adopted five Mobile Learning goals in 2012-13.

iPads were successfully piloted with one "house" of Highcrest sixth grade students in the 2013-14 school year. Reports and communications on the development and progression of mobile learning can be found in the district communications section below.

Before expanding to all 6th and 7th graders in 2014-15, the administration carefully analyzed the options for financing mobile learning; a workable plan had to take into account both the taxpayers who fund the schools and the parents who already pay a number of school-related fees.
