After their regular business meeting last night, the Board of Education conducted a reorganization meeting to celebrate one outgoing member and swear in one new member ahead of the 2023-24 school year.
The Board shared its appreciation for eight years of dedicated service from Frank Panzica, a longtime Wilmette resident who completed two terms on the Board. Frank recently served as the chairperson for the Facilities Development committee and the liaison for the Village-Wide PTO while advocating for the students of District 39.
The group then welcomed Allyson Paflas, who was elected to her seat earlier this spring and begins her first four-year term. We are extremely grateful for the guidance and support that the Board of Education provides and look forward to Allyson’s insight and input as we continue to advance the mission of D39 education.
