Did You Know?
District 39 is incredibly grateful for the close partnership with our families. We are proud to celebrate that
82% of families attended their child’s Curriculum Night this year, an outstanding example of how we work together toward the common goal of educating and growing our students. Thank you for your partnership in support of our students!

Board of Education
The Board of Education will gather on Monday, Sept. 28 at 7 pm at the Mikaelian Education Center for its monthly business meeting. The evening will begin with a public hearing on budgets, where the Board will be presented with final FY27 budgets for both District 39 and the Wilmette Community Special Education Agreement (WCSEA), before moving into the regular business meeting.
In addition to hearing committee reports, the Board is expected to approve District 39’s Strategic Plan Annual Goals and High-Leverage Actions for the 2026-27 academic year, will hear a review of D39’s 2026 Summer Enrichment Program, and will conduct a second and final reading of several Board policies.
Agendas and materials for Board of Education meetings are posted online the Friday prior to the meeting. More information on our new Strategic Plan (2026-31), including
a video highlighting our strategic priorities, is available on
our strategic plan webpage.
