
On behalf of our District and school administrators as well as the faculty and staff of District 39, I want to thank you for your support, your partnership, and your advocacy throughout the 2025-26 academic year. Educating the students of District 39 is a collective effort and we are grateful to have a community that is committed to working together to ensure that our students learn and grow every day.

Board of Education Meeting
Committee of the Whole Preview
On Monday, June 8, the Board of Education will come together for its monthly Committee of the Whole meeting. At this meeting, the Board will be presented with a draft of District 39’s new Strategic Plan, which will provide a roadmap for the next five years. Additionally, the Board will hear District 39’s Spring Assessment and Social-Emotional Learning reports, receive an update on the use of non-classroom spaces in our six school buildings, review the Five-Year Capital Projects Summary, preview the FY27 District 39 Tentative Budget, and consider the generous donations of our PTA/O partners at Harper and Central Schools.

Board Meeting Preview
The Board of Education will next gather on Monday, June 15 at 7 pm at the Mikaelian Education Center for its monthly business meeting. At this meeting, in addition to committee reports, the Board will be presented with a final draft of D39’s new five-year Strategic Plan for approval. The group will also hear our year-end presentation from the final year of our current Strategic Plan and receive our annual State Bullying Report. The Board is also expected to approve tentative FY27 budgets for both District 39 and the Wilmette Community Special Education Agreement (WCSEA) and PTA/O donation agreements with Harper and Central.

Parent Education
We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who participated in our Parent Education events this year. In addition to providing our students with an excellent education, District 39 also believes in the importance of connecting with our parents and families to provide access to informative and relevant parent education events.
