District 39 School Safety and Security
The safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority. As a reminder, detailed information regarding the key elements to our building safety and security plans and procedures is available on our school safety and security webpage. District 39 has developed and regularly reviews and trains on school safety and security protocol to help ensure safe and supportive school environments for all. We benefit tremendously from a strong partnership with the Wilmette Police Department to support school and community safety. In addition, the district annually reviews these plans with parents through our Parent Education series. Below are links to valuable information that is readily available to families.

Village of Wilmette Firearm Safety
District 39, in alignment with the Village of Wilmette and the Wilmette Police Department, is dedicated to informing community members about safe firearm practices to support safety throughout our community. Responsible firearm safety is critical to keeping our community safe. If you are a gun owner, please review safe storage practices, which include use of a secure locked container and rendering it inaccessible or unusable to any person other than the owner or another lawfully authorized user. In Wilmette, we also partner with Be SMART to further promote safe storage practices. Please review the following links for more information.
