Successful Book Drive!
Over the last six weeks, District 39 and its schools partnered with the Rotary Club of Wilmette and Bernie’s Book Depository for their 2025 Book Drive. We are proud to celebrate that the drive was a huge success, collecting over 17,000 new and gently used books from local schools! We are grateful for the many contributions. Thank you for helping make this community book drive a success!

Parent Education Event – "The Anxious Generation"

This D39 Parent Education event includes a discussion co-led by the Family Service Center and the lead organizer of Wilmette’s “Wait Until 8th” organization. This will be a virtual event held via Zoom. Registration is open now to reserve your spot. Please visit our D39 Parent Education webpage for our full 2025-26 schedule as well as recordings from previous events.

Cold Weather Preparedness
With snow and winter temperatures having arrived, please help your children prepare their clothing so that they can comfortably and safely enjoy outdoor experiences and play during the winter months. Students go outside daily for recess and are also outdoors during other portions of their day, except in instances of extreme weather. To help keep our students safe and able to fully enjoy their outdoor time, students are encouraged to dress warmly. Hats, gloves, winter coats, snow pants and boots are strongly encouraged.
