WJHS
Drawing, Painting, Printmaking
Art is extraordinary with its ability to teach problem solving. Students need to know that the problems of the world have many different valuable solutions. Art and science both investigate reality and offer unique perspectives for innovation. Art and technology both offer better communication and quality of life. The truth is that artists design so many things that improve our lives, whether it’s fashion design, architecture, or technology. Students in the 21st century should be prepared for a competitive global economy by understanding how to construct, deconstruct, and present the visual image. So much of our culture is communicated through the image; it connects people and brings them meaning.
