Wacker Drive


Hey! This is lower Wacker Drive. I think I shrunk!

As we round the bend you can see the wacker buildings. (I don't recall those cars being there)

As you can see, here is Wacker Drive along with a bridge. (I got these bird's eye pictures because I'm tall.)

A brief history of this landmark/trademark: Wacker Drive was created in the 1920's. Wacker Drive was once called Market Street! Wacker Drive was named after Charles H. Wacker. Wacker Drive runs from Van Buren to Lake Street.

The importance of this landmark/trademark to Chicago is:

If Wacker Drive wasn't there, people couldn't get places in their cars or in the underground walkway.
I think people should visit this landmark because: Wacker Drive has an amazing view of the Chicago River.
