A brief history of this landmark: It was built in 1935. It is located in Grant Park. The concerts are free. The band shell was meant to be a temporary building.
The importance of this landmark to Chicago is: The Petrillo Music Shell is important to Chicago because Chicago needed free concerts. 
I think people should visit this landmark because: It has concerts for children as well as adults.
