| A brief history of this landmark: | The Band Shell was originally slated to open in 2000 as a part of the city's Millennium Park. |
| The importance of this landmark to Chicago is: | The Band Shell is important because it has some of the best orchestra music there for the people all around Chicago. The Band Shell has seating for 4,000, with room for another 7,000 people on the lawn behind the fixed seating. |
| I think people should visit this landmark because: | I think people should visit because there is really good music there. Also the shape of the stage is very awkward. Not a lot of buildings are shaped that way. It is a fun place to enjoy music. I have been there and it is a fun place to be! |
