The Chicago Auto Pound

There is water running along the edge of the pound as you can see at this hole. Do you see part of another hole? You can see all of the holes when you go to Navy Pier.
Do you see the white plate at the beginning of this hole. It says, "Park here, but don't park to long or you'll get the boot." A boot is a device that the police put on the wheel of your vehicle if you park in a certain spot too long. It disables your car so you cannot drive it.
This is a wide view of the "Auto Pound" hole.

Address: 400 E Wacker Drive (Lower Level)
A brief history of this landmark:  If you park your car in violation of posted signs, it will be towed to the pound. If you do not claim your car within 15 days, it may be destroyed. There is a song called "Lincoln Park Pirates" about the auto pound.
The importance of this landmark to Chicago is: The Auto Pound is important to Chicago because it takes old and rusted cars off the streets. They use the old parts for new parts for new cars.
I think people should visit this landmark because: People shouldn't visit the pound unless you are picking up your car. Disabled and broken cars should be towed off the street to the pound.
