Each student in our class created a colorful personal shield. We would like to tell you about the different sections on our shields. Here are four examples of these shields. There are three sections on each shield. The left top section represents family. It shows what is important to our families, what makes our family different from other families, and what special things we do with our families. The right top section represents our favorite place or activity in Wilmette. This picture might show our feelings, our values, and our opinions of the place or activity. The bottom section represents the main reason our family is in Wilmette. For example, to be near Chicago, or to live in a place with lots of trees, or to live in a place that is safe for children, or to move to a bigger house.
