We hope your children plan on attending Freaky Friday on October 24th! This PTO-sponsored event includes snacks, games, and music. It runs from 7:30-9:00 P.M.
This year, we have adjusted the drop off and pick up procedures to help ensure students’ safety and to improve the flow of traffic during these times. We will not have supervision for students outside prior to 7:00 P.M.
Fifth grade students should be picked up in the main lot. Alternately, parents may choose a meeting spot north or east of the school off of Hunter or Washington.
Sixth grade students should be picked up in the back lot. Alternately, parents may choose a meeting spot on along Hunter south of the school.
We encourage parents to arrange carpools to help reduce the volume of cars around HMS at this time. If you carpool with both 5th and 6th graders, please use the main lot. Parent volunteers and members of the Wilmette Police Department will be on hand to help ensure students’ safety, and we will have signs to help direct parents into the correct parking lot. Please drive carefully and follow these procedures. Our goal is for all students to have a fun and safe experience at Freaky Friday.
Please remember that HMS behavior expectations apply during this event. We have received several questions regarding cell phones at Freaky Friday. Students are allowed to bring their cell phones if needed, but the school cannot be responsible for damage or loss. We are looking forward to an exciting evening filled with Halloween fun!
