Late registration will be open on until May 3rd. There is a $25.00 late registration fee as of March 18th.

Planning for Summer?

The District 39 five week Summer Enrichment Program offers children completing kindergarten through seventh grade an opportunity for fun, creativity, and learning.

The program will be held from June 17 through July 19, 2013. Children may enroll in one, two, or three classes. Bus transportation is available and "link-up" bus service is available after the last morning class each day to students enrolled in Wilmette Park District camps.

The course catalog containing descriptions of the courses was mailed in January. It is also available at the Mikaelian Education Center, 615 Locust Rd. Wilmette, or at the Wilmette Public Library. It may also be downloaded in PDF format here. (926 kB)

Corrections, Additions & Cancellations

Clarification: the Away We Go class is two periods long, 2 & 3. Sign up for 2nd period, and don't sign up for anything for period 3. Class fee is $290 total for both periods, not $290 per period.

Correction to Page 4 header: Highcrest classes start at 8:45, 9:45 & 10:45.

Dates

The 2013 Summer Enrichment Program will be held on weekday mornings for five weeks, beginning Monday, June 17, 2013 and ending Friday, July 19, 2013. School will not be in session on Thursday, July 4, 2013.

Location

This year’s program will be held at two campuses. Grades K–3 will be conducted at McKenzie School, 649 Prairie Avenue, and Grades 4–7 will be conducted at Highcrest Middle School, 569 Hunter Street.

Enrollment

Children who have completed any grade, Kindergarten through 7, may attend the Summer Enrichment Program. Students need not be residents of Wilmette District 39, except as noted. Students should register for the grade they will complete in June, 2013.

Schedule

Children may register for one, two, or three classes. All classes are 50 minutes long, with few exceptions. McKenzie will be open from 8:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Highcrest will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. The periods are as follows:

McKenzie (K–3)
Period 1 – 8:30 – 9:20 a.m.
Period 2 – 9:30 a.m. – 10:20 a.m.
Period 3 10:30 – 11:20 a.m.
Highcrest Middle School (4–7)
Period 1 – 8:45 – 9:35 a.m.
Period 2 – 9:45 – 10:35 a.m.
Period 3 – 10:45 – 11:35 a.m.
