Book Reviews by Grade Level:

The fourth graders in Wilmette District #39 participate in the Reading Rally Program. This program promotes reading from a list of 20 books chosen by all District 39 Elementary Library/Media teachers. The titles chosen coincide with the genres listed in the Grade 4 Literature Curriculum.

The children must read a minimum of four books from the Reading Rally List between August 2012 and May 2013.

  1. Book #1 due Nov. 16, 2012
  2. Book #2 due Jan. 11, 2013
  3. Book #3 due Mar. 8, 2013
  4. Book # 4 due May 3, 2013

These four books may include any “read-aloud” books chosen by the classroom teacher or the parent. They also may be audio books.

Students will be participating in an online activity that will be explained in August during their LMC classes.  Students will be doing 1 project each quarter based on a completed Reading Rally book of his/her choice.

In June, all children will receive certificates of participation. Students who have read 15 or more books will receive special recognition.
