Field Trips and Community Service

The Board encourages field trips and other out-of-school activities that help participating students achieve their educational goals.

The administration may place a restriction upon a student’s participation in an out-of-school activity when, in the staff’s judgment, it is not in the best interest of the student to participate in the activity.

The Board shall make available District-owned buses and/or other public conveyances for the purpose of out-of-school activities provided it does not interfere with the normal operational, maintenance or transportation programs.
