From the PrincipalDear McKenzie Families, The final bell has rung, and alas, we close another great school year! The smiles and tears that filled the classrooms and hallways today speak to the ties that bind us to one another. It reminds us of how much we share, and the difference a teacher/adult can make in the life of a child. On behalf of the entire McKenzie staff, I want to thank you for the ongoing support you have provided us this year. From participation in school-wide activities to reinforcing your child's learning at home---together we make a great team! As we begin our summer break we bid a fond farewell to retiring staff members Mrs. Bourisaw (2nd Grade) and Mrs. Digate (secretary), as well as to Sra. Kapadia, Dr. Kincaid, Mr. Fowler, and Mr.Toy (who will be teaching at Romona and Highcrest next year). They have enjoyed their time at McKenzie and the time spent with your children. We appreciate all the contributions they have made to our school and wish them the very best! We look forward to welcoming you back on August 27th. If you have not yet registered your child for next year, be sure to do so as soon as possible so that we can add your son/daughter to a class list. To a great summer~ Dr. Welter |
