District 39 Names New Business Leader

Wilmette Public SchoolsWilmette Public Schools will have a new operational business leader.

The Wilmette Board of Education unanimously approved the hire of Mr. Corey Bultemeier as Business Manager/Chief School Business Official during a special board meeting held on Monday, April 20. Mr. Bultemeier will succeed departing Business Manager Mrs. Ellen Crispino, who will relocate out of state at the conclusion of the 2019-2020 school year.

“After conducting a thorough and comprehensive search, we are thrilled to welcome Mr. Bultemeier into our District 39 family,” Superintendent Dr. Kari Cremascoli said. “Corey’s experience, knowledge and professionalism stood out to our hiring team throughout the interview process. Corey will bring continued transparency and integrity to our district’s business operations and we believe he will be an excellent fit for our school community.”

Mr. Bultemeier brings more than a decade of school business official experience to the position, the majority of which was spent as the Director of Fiscal Services/Assistant CSBO in Community Consolidated School District 15 (Palatine, IL). Mr. Bultemeier performed many of the operational management functions at CCSD that he will oversee in District 39, including budget development, financial services oversight and long-term financial planning.

Mr. Bultemeier earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and he earned his master’s degree in school business management from Northern Illinois University. He holds licenses as a certified public accountant (CPA), a certified administrator of school finance and operations (SFO) and a chief school business official endorsement (CSBO).
