Conflict of Interest
All members of the Board of Education shall have the following duties:
- To avoid the appearance of impropriety;
- To disclose potential conflicts of interest; and,
- Pursuant to 105 ILCS 5/10-9 and other applicable law, to not have a
pecuniary interest directly or indirectly in any contract, work, or sale
whenever the expense, price, or consideration for the contract is paid
by the District.
- To annually file a Statement of Economic Interests as
required by the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act. Each Board member is
responsible for filing the statement with the county clerk of the county
in which the District’s main office is located by May 1.
