A busy group of 2nd graders spent 4 weeks of research learning about an animal's
life cycle. Following the specific steps of IIM, they each discovered
some
unique facts about a chosen animal and created questions about its
life cycle. The animal choices varied from a small lizard to an enormous
elephant. The end result was some outstanding
books, each taking on the personality of the author/researcher.
The last step to IIM
is presentation. Here are a few pictures of their book sharing time. Classroom
teachers and parents were invited. |
